Opportunities to Join Our Staff in Making Disciples
About Employment
Our hope as a staff is to proactively host and serve people, be hopeful and truthful because of the gospel, and be committed to pursuing wholeness of heart, mind, strength, and soul. We are one team with one mission: to love God, love all people, and make disciples everywhere.
We do not take lightly the call we believe God has placed on our staff to shepherd our people and push back darkness. Therefore, we require our employees to agree with Restoration Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same. Likewise, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our children and adults in our ministry programs. As a part of that commitment, we have preventative measures in place to safeguard each child, as well as those who serve them. These preventative measures include awareness training, skillful screening processes, policies and procedures, background checks, and monitoring and oversight to help us maintain compliance and accountability. Furthermore, we understand and follow our reporting obligations in accordance with the state of Texas.

The Pastoral Residency at Restoration Church is a one-year residency designed to equip and assist men to pastor local churches. As the Church experiences a rapid decline in a secularizing culture, the need of the hour is for Spirit-led leaders who are humble, prayerful, and Scripture-formed, who can steward the spiritual opportunities our cultural moment is presenting. We focus on growing a life of prayer while developing Christ-like character, theological convictions, and ministry and leadership competencies, all while serving alongside a healthy church staff. Through reading, writing, roundtables, labs, hands-on ministry, and exposure to leaders across the country, residents will be further equipped to pursue God’s call on their lives to lead the church into the future.
The Restoration Church Pastoral Residency is a 12-month process aimed at solidifying a man’s call to pastoral ministry and to equip him for the task. The residency aims to be devotionally rich and doctrinally robust, all while giving practical experience in the context of a local church. The hope is to provide an environment where qualified and called men experience a confidence to enter vocational ministry in the service of a local church.
Residents accepted into the program will hold a non-paid staff position with Restoration Church through the duration of their program. Reading, roundtables, meetings and ministry work will require approximately 10–15 hours per week. Residents will be assigned ministry responsibilities on Sundays and some weekday evenings throughout the year.
Requirements:
An aspiration and affirmed calling to vocational pastoral ministry
Completion of or current enrollment in a program of advanced theological/ministry-related degree program (Graduate-level preferred)
Ability to commit 10-15 hours per week to the program over the course of the year
Qualified applicants will also meet the biblical qualifications of elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9
Applications will be accepted through November 22, 2024.
