Life Story:
I was born and raised in a small town in Southeast Texas called Livingston. My mom was taking me to this little church called Schwab City Baptist Church as far back as I can remember and regularly talking to me about following Jesus. At seven years old I told my mom that I believed in Jesus and wanted to be baptized and I've been clumsily following him ever since. My family spent a lot of time with our church, watching movies and our favorite Houston sports teams, and going to whichever sibling's sporting event together. My siblings, Kaden, Caraline, and Gavin are three of the best friends I have ever had and being their brother is one of the most formative things the Lord has ever given me. I had a moment when I was around 10 years old where I cried my eyes out telling the kids minister that I wanted to be a baseball player but I think God wants me to be a youth pastor. Though, it was the impact that my student ministers had on me and the joy of being the oldest brother to my siblings that solidified my desire to disciple teenagers as a career.
So, I moved to Dallas in 2014 to attend Dallas Baptist University and get my degree in Biblical Studies with a plan to work in student ministry. Little did I know that I was also going to make many amazing friends and, most of all, meet my wife, Kallie. We got married right after I graduated in 2018 and have been in DFW since. We're expecting our first baby, Ezra, in January of 2023! We're thrilled that God has brought our family to Restoration Church and that we get to be a part of what he is doing to and through this community.
Hopes for our church:
My hope for Restoration Church is that we would be marked by four things, 1) belief that God loves us, 2) love for God, 3) love for our local and global neighbors, and 4) devotion to make disciples.
